It becomes possible to make a 3-second animated image in Android's default messenger

Google will soon make it possible to create a three-second animation in Google Messages.

Google Messages has introduced a new feature on a trial basis that allows users to create a three-second animated image. This feature, called Selfie GIF, is designed to increase interaction and express emotions in conversations, and is activated by long pressing the camera icon during messaging. With SelfieGif enabled, users can automatically start recording after a short countdown. It is also possible to manually start the recording. Three-second animated selfies are saved in the camera gallery and can easily be shared on social networks and messengers.

The new feature, which is still in the experimental stage, is part of Google's efforts to improve the user experience in its messaging app.

While no further details have been released about how Selfie GIF works, we can expect Google to provide more information on this in the near future.
